What is included in the Belgian beer tasting experience?
Our standard Belgian beer tasting includes 4 premium Belgian beers carefully selected from different styles (Trappist, Lambic, Abbey, craft), professional tasting techniques training, UNESCO heritage brewing education, complete tasting notes, and personalised guidance from a certified beer sommelier.
How long does the beer tasting last?
The standard Belgian beer tasting lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives you enough time to taste each beer properly, learn professional tasting techniques, and explore Belgium’s brewing heritage. Premium sessions can run up to 3 hours.
Is the beer tasting suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Our certified sommelier adapts every session to your knowledge level. Whether you have never opened a Belgian beer before or you collect Trappists, you will learn something new in a friendly, no-pressure atmosphere.
What types of Belgian beers will I taste?
You will discover a curated selection across Belgium’s great styles: Trappist ales (Chimay, Westmalle, Orval and others), traditional Lambics and Gueuze with spontaneous fermentation, Abbey beers, Saisons, Belgian IPAs, Dubbels, Tripels, Quadrupels, and exceptional craft selections. The exact line-up changes regularly.
Where does the tasting take place?
At Doctor Beer Brussels, Boulevard Anspach, 1000 Bruxelles — three minutes’ walk from the Grand-Place and Manneken Pis. Easily accessible by metro (Brussels Central, lines 1 & 5), tram (lines 3 & 4) and bus.
Can I book a private tasting for my group?
Yes. We offer private Belgian beer tastings for groups from 6 to 30+ people — perfect for team-building, corporate events, birthdays, hen and stag parties, and private celebrations. Available in English, French, Dutch and Spanish. Contact us via WhatsApp +32 486 23 68 36 or info@doctorbeer.be for a tailored quote.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance, especially for weekends. Last-minute spots sometimes open up — message us on WhatsApp to check. For groups of 15+ people, please book at least one week ahead.
