Drogenbos Season Old Style
Historically, seasonal beers were intended for seasonal farmers. Farm owners produced a 3-5% beer to refresh workers after a day’s work.
The Drogenbos was brewed in the same spirit, taking their multi-cereal facet (malted barley but also rye, wheat and spelt). The dryness of the beer allows to highlight a grassy bitterness (Fuggles,Tettnanger) and fruity (Willamette and Mandarina Bavaria). This combination offers the Drogenbos Season character while leaving it a thirsty, dry and bitter profile. The whole is accompanied by spicy notes, characteristic of the yeast used for this style.
